Do you believe that there are bicycles you can ride on the water? They aren't really bicycles, but giant tricycles with big fat tires that float. We rent one for three hours.
I love that the tricycle is a two seater, each with its own set of pedals. That means I can let Renzo do most of the pedaling while I take in the sights.
I thought the sandy beach was packed with people and activity in the summer, but the action on the ocean is just as intense. As we (Renzo) pedal along on our ocean trike, we watch surfers trying to catch the small waves. There are jet skiers racing by, causing a wake that provides the best waves for the surfers and rocks our trike all over the place. I'm glad I don’t get seasick. A little farther out in the ocean, there are speedboats pulling parasailers and fishing boats making the catch of the day. I am surprised when Renzo announces that our three hour time limit is almost up.
We return the trike to the vendor and play some video games in a nearby arcade. In a flash, the day is over!
