Larry does not want to be captured. Maybe he should leave the city, but where would he go? The cat doesn’t know. The cat has lived in the city her whole life.
Larry leaves the alley thinking hard about where he may go to escape the city workers. He comes upon an opossum digging through a dumpster. Larry asks the opossum if he has ever been outside of the city. The opossum has not.
Larry walks on. He comes upon a fox chasing a rat. The fox, annoyed with Larry for distracting him from his dinner, also can offer no advice to the poor raccoon. The fox has never been outside of the city.
Larry walks and walks, deep in thought, as the city noise becomes quieter and the street becomes darker. He walks until there are no longer any buildings lining the street. He walks until there is nothing around him but lots and lots of trees. Larry has walked right out of the city, where he has lived his entire life, and walked right into the forest.
